It is remarkable how change can feel both gradual and sudden simultaneously. I observed my habits changing quite drastically this week. After months, I woke up earlier, drank coffee again, and started sharing more on my social media. These are clear signs that the yang energy is waking up in my system. I spent hours this week taking stock of all the ideas that stuck with me over Winter, visualizing their fullest expression in my life, writing up what that would look like and listing the steps I need to take to get me there.
It feels good to start considering my goals, what I like to accomplish this year, and what it would ask of me. It feels exciting, and it is easy to get carried away prematurely. I’m just waking up from the dream of Winter, and my energy levels are still low. I have learned to make informed choices about directing my limited energy; excitement and joy are the best indicators. When I trust to follow what excites me, it is easier to get into a flow state. And this is a source that gives back abundantly, leaving me feeling charged instead of depleted.
We are now entering a time when it is becoming more important to choose. Decide how to direct your precious resources, investigate what excites you the most, and perhaps take the first preliminary steps to bring your ideas from your imagination into this world. All of this is best done in secret so the seeds of our inspiration are given a chance to grow stronger before revealing themselves. You may want to confide in those closest to you, but ask them to refrain from sharing their feedback and encourage you to keep going and exploring.
We witness the rising of a new identity within us by celebrating and encouraging each other’s autonomous growth, simply as it is, being in awe of its natural beauty and resisting the impulse to try to change it in any way. Dare to trust that whatever comes to us will come on its own whenever we are ready.
Enjoy the brightening days.
